![]() In 2013, privacy advocate (and EPIC Advisory Board member) Max Schrems filed a complaint alleging that Facebook violated EU law when it transferred personal data to the U.S., where surveillance law fails to provide adequate privacy protections or remedies for non-U.S. The order arises from the long-running dispute over cross-border transfers of EU residents’ personal data to the U.S. and to bring its processing into compliance with the GDPR. The order also requires Meta to delete EU users’ personal data unlawfully transferred to the U.S. "Nextearth", maybe, and they have apparently a crypto-coin, but that doesn't seem to take off either.Ireland’s Data Protection Commission has fined Meta €1.2 billion and ordered the company to suspend transfers of personal data to the United States within five months, finding that Meta’s transfers violation the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation. One other UPSIDE maybe: I don't really know of alternatives for Earth2. Well, but at least we're not lying to ourselfes. Now ask yourself, after what I've told you, do you think this is a product to invest in?Īlso, another red flag for an "Investment" might be, that we all constantly hate on Earth2 here in the forum. At least Earth2 doesn't give me lung cancer (or does it?) When I buy together my old neighborhood, it makes me feel nostalgic, it makes me think about how cool it would be, if I could really own all that land.īut it's like buying cigarettes, it's a stupid Hobby that probably - like smoking - is damaing to me and costs me money. But I don't really EXPECT that this will bring me money. Now why do I do that? I think it's funny to buy together my old neighborhood. However if you want to GAMBLE and maybe have a chance of 1 - 5 % or 1 - 10 % AT THE MOST, Earth2 could be for you. I can't say if it's a scam, but IMO at this point you gotta say, that it simply is not a good product and it's not wise to invest into a project that isn't good. If they are able to do that then great, it will be a product you can buy when they're done.ĭigital land ownership isn't a new thing, it's been a part of MMO games for over a decade or more. I believe it's against the rules of the subreddit to call the project a scam, and legally the terms of service on Earth 2 clearly state that you agree you are buying digital products that hold no value.Įarth 2 claims that it's final phase 3 product is literally the Matrix. Some have even started organizing new investors into "mega cities", which also profits early investors. Some of the early investors have even made YouTube videos to drive interest in the product, which enriches them when people use their promo code, and when new people buy the premium currency it puts USD back in the system. ![]() ![]() Those people make money from everyone downstream who buys Tier 2 and Tier 3 in their country. The way to have made money on Earth 2 is to have bought Tier 1 tiles at the start of the project, since those were extremely scarce. It's past it's prime as an investment tool or a way to make money. ![]()
